Immersive Projection Mapping

This Chinese New Year, an incredible project “Auscipious Koi Garden”「康泰吉祥錦鯉園」has been made for MCP. MGV has used 3D projection mapping to create immersive experiences in a Japanese setting. The splendid shrine display and exquisite buildings restore the traditional Japanese style, making everyone feel like visiting Japan and praying for blessings. The whole journey is themed by colorful KOI which is a symbol of good luck and good fortune.「三重幸福鳥居」is decorated with koi lanterns which represent the arrival of luck. In the main atrium, MGV used the latest 3D Mapping technology to map a 3D cylindrical structure to replicate the shape of an aquarium, we then projected the animations and KOI fish images onto this virtual and gigantic fish tank. Mallgoers can immerse in this dreamy underwater world by following the colorful koi, admiring the projection technology that brought a number of lifelike koi to life, and enjoying their dance performance in the palace. Visitors are encouraged to snap memorable moments and post them to social media channels.
